The chicken, leak and mushroom pie (pictured, on the special menu) was delicious, as was the mashed potato and kale (the latter was cooked to perfection, and I'm often not a fan of kale as the only veg side). The toad in the hole and crab sandwich were also excellent. Beyond that, the decor is beautiful (what a fireplace!) and it includes info on the village (with its almost unbelievable history). If you're in the area, even if this seems to be a detour, it's well worth it.February 16, 2017
- 5 / 5By Zachary YeomansWe loved this place. Quiet, cosy, homely, honest English pub. We stopped in for a pint and some hot chips and if the chips are anything to go by the food must be great. Best chips I've had in a very long time. There's accommodation if you want to stay there and we are considering just that. Well worth a visit for a pint, walk on the beach and a pint.September 11, 2016
